How to Run an Internet Business from Home As a Woman

Sunday, November 21st, 2010

If you are a woman and you find yourself unemployed, you have the opportunity to not only run your own business from home, but you have the opportunity to become a very wealthy person doing it.

However, right now you're probably thinking that this involves some sort of scam. After all, most people are rightfully skeptical of anyone touting a ‘get-rich-quick’ opportunity these days.

Yet this opportunity is a little different to those. There is actual work involved, as this is going to be a legitimate business with actual inventory, sales and a sales force.

The thing is, you have to create that business from the ground up in order to really see the success you’re seeking. As a woman who wants to run a home based business, are you ready for that challenge?

Network Marketing

You've probably heard of network marketing, but you may have heard it referred to as multi-level marketing. Essentially they're the same thing. Basically, network marketing works like this. Let's say you have a product. You sell that product to a person and you make a commission off of that product. Then, you get a friend to help you sell more products and you make a commission off of everything you sell, and everything your friend sells.

Eventually, you form a network comprised of your associates, and their associates, who are all selling the same products and all those commissions come funneling back into your pocket. If you are a great communicator, and you're driven enough, you can make a lot of money at network marketing, but it's not for the faint of heart.

A Legitimate Business

Some people hear home based business and they think it doesn't involve any real work. While it's true that it's not as grueling as, say, a construction worker's workload, it does involve long hours and some level of tedium. After all, you are going to have to attract prospects and then close the deal, while at the same time recruiting good associates for your network.

Once you’ve done this, you have to nurture all of those relationships to ensure that the bond between you remains strong. All it takes is one negative and unmotivated person to infect the rest and then you have to start all over from scratch. Of course, there is a better way to go about running a home based business using network marketing. That's to enter into an already formed business model. Essentially, it means investing in a business in a box.

Home Based Opportunities

There are many home based business opportunities that do everything for you, from finding leads to nurturing those leads and they even do follow up communication. These aren't cheap to join, but they take a lot of that tedium away so that you can work towards building your business. Of course you can create your own product and form your own opportunity. It all depends on how badly you want it. Because no matter which way you go, if you're driven enough, you'll go wherever you want to go.

Increasing Conversion Rates for Your Network Marketing Opportunity

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

network marketing opportunity conversionsDo you know what your current conversion rates are for your network marketing opportunity? Are you aware of exactly how many people visit your website and read your offer each day? Of those visitors, how many of them actually request more information from you? How many join up to your program and become a part of your network? Most people aren't exactly sure of their exact conversion rates.

Regardless of what they are right now, though, there is always room for improvement and increased conversions. After all, a higher conversion rate means more profit for your business overall with less effort from you. Many network marketers simply believe they need to find a way to attract more visitors to their website in order to see more people joining their program, but this isn't always true.

There's no point having ten thousand visitors arriving at your website only to click away in disinterest. By comparison, having just two visitors coming to your site and getting both of them to sign up will be much more profitable for you. It's not just about the number of visitors coming to your site. It's about getting the right people to read your offer and then finding ways to get them to join up before they leave.

So how do you increase your conversion rate? How do you gain people's trust enough to really make them want to ask you for more information? What is the deciding factor that makes them want to join up to your program right away?

Building Trust

Always keep in mind that the Internet can be a largely anonymous medium. People can't see your face and they can't view your office space. They're reading an offer on a website where they have no idea of the faceless entity behind those words. It's important to find ways to get those visitors to trust that you're serious about your business offer. This can be done in a number of ways. You might offer tips, tricks, advice, support, or even answers to the most frequently asked questions. You might offer a newsletter designed to help them build their own successful business based on your own network marketing program. You could also add links to your social networking pages so people can get a sense of exactly who you are. Leave a link to your Facebook page, your MySpace profile, or your Twitter account for people to look you up.

Mailing List

When people visit your website and then click away to somewhere else, you've lost your opportunity to convert that particular person. The odds of them coming back to your site once they've already left are very slim. However, you do have the option of inviting them to join your mailing list before the leave your site. Offer them plenty of incentive for joining. You might give them a free success report, or a tips and hints newsletter as your way of thanking them for joining. This way, you can let them know about your offer or your program each time you send out a new email. Instead of losing that person forever, you now have a way to help increase their awareness of what you're promoting. When their interest has increased enough to want more information, they will head right back to your website, via the handy link you emailed to the people on your mailing list.

Fast-Track Your Internet Network Marketing Success With The Right Mentor

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

Internet network marketingMost people who enter Internet network marketing begin their new home business filled with anticipation. They're often highly motivated and ambitious, with high hopes for the success of their new enterprise. Unfortunately, far too many promising marketers give up when they don't reach the heady heights of success they expected as easily as they thought. This is a shame, especially since many of those people would have had the ability to create a truly lucrative business that could easily have replaced the income from their day jobs.

What is Internet Network Marketing?

Internet network marketing is the art of using the Internet to generate leads for your network marketing business opportunity. In today's age technology has come a long way. It is by far cheaper, and easier to generate new business leads on the Net, compared to using traditional (and outdated) methods.

Your mentor will be well versed in many methods of lead generation, and able to lead you through your particular system in due time.

Network marketing over the Internet doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, marketing most products online involves a certain understanding of how to approach the right people who will be receptive to your particular product. These people are your target audience. Unfortunately, there are some network marketing opportunities that don't offer nearly enough guidance for people just starting out in the industry. These new-comers are often left to try and navigate the world of online marketing on their own. This is usually a sure-fire recipe to reduce motivation levels and cause many promising business-owners to quit before they've tasted success.

Get a Mentor

These scenarios can be avoided, though, by working with a mentor who is willing to give you the support and guidance you need to build up your business, based on a solid foundation of knowledge. A good industry-specific mentor is also able to guide you through the learning curve. This can enable you to make good decisions and help you to avoid bad marketing practices that could cost you time and money.

What Defines a Great Internet Marketing Mentor?

A good mentor isn't afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to show you how to advance through your system step by step. One thing you can't expect for them to do is your work. You will still need to run your own business. You can expect your mentor to:

  • Be available to you whenever you need help, especially when you are still earning your ropes
  • Teach you about your particular network marketing system
  • Show you the fastest ways (cost-effective) to generate new business leads
  • Demonstrate to you how to train your new downline, and how to position yourself in the market

You should also be shown how to positively market your particular product or offer to the right people. These will be people who have displayed an active interest in what you’re promoting. With Internet network marketing, knowing how to find those people in the first place can be frustrating. Yet if you have the guidance of a mentor who has already achieved the level of success you hope to achieve, you'll be far less likely to make costly mistakes.
