If you’ve been struggling with your network marketing business, it’s probably because you’ve been limiting yourself. Sure, you can find contacts and expand your network online, but if you really want to expand your business and take it to new heights, you’ll want to get out in the real world and market yourself.
The problem is, network marketing is mostly an online business so some people feel as though they can stay hidden behind their computer and still make it big. The truth is, however, that in order to make it, you have to get out, meet people and really think outside the box. That’s the only way to make more contacts, and it’s the only way to make the kind of money you deserve to be making.
Limited Thinking
Most of us suffer from limited thinking. This is where we don’t think we can do something, or we don’t think we’ll be good at something. Some experts think this type of thinking originates in childhood. Somewhere along the line, someone told us we couldn’t do something and that negative feeling has stuck with us all the way through adulthood.
Even today, we think we can’t make it big because we just weren’t dealt the right cards, or we weren’t blessed with the right looks, or we weren’t born into the right family, etc., etc. The thing is, if you want to make it big in network marketing, you must break free from this train of thought. You must quit thinking in terms of ‘I can’t’, and you must start thinking in terms of ‘I can!’
Nobody is going to want to join the network of a person who doesn’t think they can make it. If you try to recruit someone for your business and they see even the slightest bit of doubt in your eyes, or on your face, they’ll likely quit. Or they’ll surpass you as they rise to the top if they’re ambitious enough. The point is, you have to think you can do anything and then really let your mind go as you think of more ways to make more contacts, expand your network, and make more money than you’ve ever made before.
Creative Networking
Once you get it out of your head that you can’t succeed, let your mind race with ideas on how you can meet more likeminded people. Maybe create business cards with your website and contact information that you can hand out to family, friends, and friends of friends. Or maybe you could find out if there’s a local fair or festival going on and see how much it would cost for you to set up a booth. You can set up a booth anywhere, as a matter of fact.
This merely illustrates the fact that you can make contacts and expand your network in a number of ways. You just have to believe that you can make it and you will. When you’re talking to people about your network marketing business, and they see in your eyes and on your face that you truly believe in what you’re saying, you’ll have no trouble recruiting them. Then you’ll see your network expand like never before, and all it took was a little change in your thinking and using a little creativity to finally get your business off the ground.
